Wester Derry Wind Co-op is a not for profit co-op which owns a wind turbine on the border of Angus and Perthshire.
The Co-op owns a 250 kilowatt wind turbine at Wester Derry Farm, at Kilry near Alyth in Glen Isla. The turbine is 100% co-operatively owned by 180 members. Members of the public joined the co-op and bought shares in the turbine from as little as £250. The co-op generates a community benefit fund for local schools
